Thousand Island Dressing

When I was small, we used to go to a salad bar buffet from time to time. My mom would ask me what kind of salad dressing I wanted. I really didn't know what any of them were like, but the name Thousand Island dressing was so exotic and exciting sounding that I always picked it! Thousand Island dressing is still a favorite of mine, but I haven't made my own until now. Most recipes use ketchup, but I like the way using sweet chili sauce changes it up.

Stir together in a small jar:

1 cup mayonnaise 

1/4 cup sweet chili sauce    

2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion

2 Tbsp. lemon juice

1 tsp. sugar

2 Tbsp. chopped dill pickles or sweet pickle relish

1/2 tsp. salt
